Are you interested in presenting information digitally and to a wider audience? Would you like to learn about creating multimedia projects? This workshop will introduce participants to digital and multimedia publishing. It will discuss best practices to create digital and multimedia projects and will explore different platforms to make them happen. Participants will get a closer view at two platforms: Scalar and Omeka. Scalar is a free, open source authoring and publishing platform that’s designed to make it easy for authors to write long-form, born-digital scholarship online. Omeka.net is an online platform that allows users to create fully searchable online multimedia collections.
