Artificial Intelligence Literacy and ChatGPT

Artificial Intelligence Literacy and ChatGPT

Are you keeping up with artificial intelligence?

Join the McGill Library to learn about the many different ways artificial intelligence plays a role in our lives. It can be difficult to understand what AI is and how to make use of the growing number of tools out there. This workshop is for those who want to learn more about AI, discuss its presence in our lives, and learn techniques to be more aware of the technology that surrounds us.

We will also take a close look at ChatGPT, everyone’s favourite generative AI, and discuss how this tool can be used in an ethical manner.

Participants will:

  • Navigate the umbrella of AI and the related technology applications

  • Identify key terms and trends in AI

  • Evaluate the potential uses of AI tools like ChatGPT

  • Build strategies to stay literate on AI

Note that this workshop will not discuss the mechanics of AI, but rather its implications on society.
