[MUSIC] Music research data management workshop 1 (Intro)

Aimed at music scholars and performers, this workshop introduces research data management (RDM) and what research data are for musicians and researchers. It further looks at tri-agency funding opportunities that require elements of RDM in grant applications and suggests relevant options for depositing music data. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • describe what research data management and the research data lifecycle are
  • identify the type(s) of data generated/gathered in your own music research
  • articulate whether the grants you are interested in require data deposit and/or an RDM plan as part of the application
  • identify appropriate and relevant online depositories to deposit your music research data

(Your participation in this opportunity will be recognized on your Co-Curricular Record! For more information, visit mcgill.ca/involvement.)
