This workshop is designed for novice researchers considering publishing their music research, as well as experienced researchers seeking an update on new/alternative journal publishing venues. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

• articulate the differences and the pros/cons between open-access and non open-access publications
• identify a list of academic journals in music
• use relevant sources to see the impact of journals 
• make informed decisions on where to publish music research based on specific situations
