DIY Data Learning Challenge: Examining Canadian Life with the Census Profile
Conducted every 5 years by Statistics Canada, the Census of Population can be used to describe demographic, social, and economic aspects of Canadian society and to track changes in these areas over time. Take an online quiz to learn how to find data from Canada’s Census of Population. The quiz should take you less than 30 minutes to complete and includes accompanying instructional material as well as solutions.
To help celebrate Canada Day, enter your name at the end of the quiz to participate in a draw to win a free copy of the book, “Many Women, Many Voices: Stories from McGill Collections.” The deadline to complete the quiz to enter the draw is the end of Canada Day (i.e., July 1, 2025, at 11:59pm). The winner will be announced at the end of that week.
Please register below to receive the quiz link. Contact Giovanna Badia (giovanna.badia@mcgill.ca) with any questions about this online learning activity.
