Finding Statistics Canada datasets and exploring them with Excel

Finding Statistics Canada datasets and exploring them with Excel

Learn strategies for finding, accessing, and understanding relevant datasets on Statistics Canada’s website, followed by how to use Excel to format the found data files, produce summary statistics, and generate basic graphs to start your analysis. While we will be using a Statistics Canada data file, the procedures shown in Excel will work with other datasets.

Note: The expectation is that participants will have basic knowledge of working with Excel (i.e., have used the software before in whatever capacity) and that the software is already installed on their computers before the workshop.
