You are warmly invited to a vernissage of Hinge Points: Gabor Szilasi’s Photographic Angle exhibit. On February 3 from 5-7pm, join us in celebrating Montreal based photographer Gabor Szilasi (1928-) and his photographic angle on Montreal.  

Take in Szilasi’s angular, luminous photographs of Montreal’s changing streets, where older routes collide with new planning and architecture. Through sweeping panoramas, the exhibition lingers at irregular intersections and triangular corners - the “hinge points” where the city bends, adapts, and reveals its layered history.  

All are welcome - whether you are an architect, photographer, student, longtime Montrealer, or simply curious about the ways cities grow and change, this exhibition opens the door to look a little longer at the corners you might usually pass by.

Vernissage de l’exposition « Hinge Points: Gabor Szilasi’s Photographic Angle »

Nous vous invitons cordialement au vernissage de l’exposition Hinge Points: Gabor Szilasi’s Photographic Angle. Le 3 février, de 17 h à 19 h, venez rendre hommage au photographe montréalais Gabor Szilasi (1928 –) et au regard photographique qu’il pose sur Montréal.

Admirez ses photographies angulaires et lumineuses qui illustrent les rues en constante évolution de Montréal, où les anciens tracés se heurtent aux nouveaux aménagements et à la nouvelle architecture. L’exposition présente des images grandioses d’intersections irrégulières et d’angles triangulaires, ces « points d’articulation » où la ville se plie, s’adapte et révèle son histoire multidimensionnelle.

Que vous soyez architecte, photographe, étudiante ou Montréalais de longue date, ou si la croissance et l’évolution des villes vous intéressent, cette exposition vous invite à vous attarder un peu plus longtemps sur les coins de la ville que vous traversez habituellement sans vous y attarder.
