This workshop is designed for novice researchers considering publishing their music research, as well as experienced researchers seeking an update on new/alternative journal publishing venues. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

• identify a list of academic journals in music, 
• describe the journal publishing process, including key stages from submission to publication and acceptance rate, 
• use relevant sources to see the impact of journals, and 
• make informed decisions on where to publish music research based on specific situations.
