SUMMARY:Exhibit | Behind the scenes: McGill Libraries' Treasures on display in Abu Dhabi
DESCRIPTION:On September 30\, 2025\, seventeen manuscripts and artefacts
from the McGill Libraries accompanied by two McGill librarians landed in
Abu Dhabi. This was the conclusion of over a year of weekly meetings
between colleagues from McGill Libraries and the Abu Dhabi Department of
Culture and Tourism (DCT) to prepare for three events: the Golden
Ink exhibition at the House of Knowledge gallery in Qasr Al Watan\, the
publication of a trilingual exhibition catalogue\, and the Fourth Abu Dhabi
International Conference on Manuscripts at the Abu Dhabi Cultural
Centre.\n\nBehind the Scenes: McGill Treasures on display in Abu Dhabi
documents the incredible adventure the team involved in this international
collaboration went on. From exhibition\, curation\, and design to
international travels logistics passing by press coverage\, visitors will
get a glimpse of the magnitude of the project and the incredible
accomplishment it was: over 600\,000 exhibition visitors in six months\, 24
 conference speakers from fourteen countries\, and a 300 pages-long
 exhibition catalogue.\n\nAccessible during opening hours.\n\nRuns August 24
 to December 23\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\nLe 30 septembre 2025\, dix-sept manuscrits
Culture and Tourism (DCT) d’Abu Dhabi pour préparer trois événements :
