A Mount Royal Walking Tour: Science, Poetry, and the Art of Paying Attention
Celebrate Science Literacy Week with a 90-minute guided walk on Mount Royal.
Join me as I explore the scientific origins of Montreal's renowned mountain and share two excerpts from poems by Mary Oliver, the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet known for her keen observations of the natural world. Together, we'll discover how science and poetry can deepen our understanding of the landscape and inspire us to look more closely at the world around us.
The walk will begin in the lobby of the McLennan-Redpath Library Building.
If you have any questions, please contact me at giovanna.badia@mcgill.ca. I am a McGill librarian and a frequent Mount Royal walker.
