The Chemistry of Climate Change

Are you worried about the state of the earth? How do the molecules we release cause an effect on the earth’s rising temperatures? In this workshop, we will walk through how greenhouse gas molecules directly contribute to the heating of the atmosphere, starting from the molecular level and working up to their implications on earth systems. While this topic can stir climate anxiety, ongoing solutions at both the individual and collective level will be discussed.

Participants will:

  • Recognize greenhouse gases and their implications on the earth
  • Understand how our climate is changing from a molecular level
  • Consider how different climate solutions can have large global impacts on various earth systems
